I will be putting together an Asterisk class for TriLUG in the upcoming weeks which should help get people started with Asterisk.If you're running Debian unstable, here are the cliff notes:
1. Get and install hardware 2. # apt-get install asterisk 3. configure.
Of course that third step is a doozy.
