I should clarify just a bit:

--No audio-CD-only CD player will play MP3 cds.  I know there are newer
CD-players that will read a data CD burned with MP3s.  These players have
MP3 players (like winamp or xmms) built into their firmware.
--If your CD-burning software allows you to burn an *audio* CD from MP3s,
that software first converts the MP3 to wav (PCM) format before putting the
data on the disc.

Sometimes I suck at explaining things; I hope this is clearer. :-)
