According to a presentation I saw on 2.6, the module and hardware
interfaces have changed somewhat, so all drivers will require porting. 
However the differences probably won't be substantial for your small
driver.  I googled some for more information right now but wasn't
successful, but as 2.6 becomes more mainstream I'm sure this info will
be out there.
