Yes, mailman is being used for the TriLUG mailing lists. http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/ Mailman works fine with all of the major MTAs -- postfix (which we use), sendmail (which I use at work), qmail, exim, etc. See http://www.list.org/ for more information on mailman.
