I want to run a imap server that requires secure authentification. How do I accomplish this

By secure authentication to you mean SPA or SSL/TLS?
Just about any imap server allows for the latter, just generate the proper certificate, and modify the config/commandline options, the former I've never been able to get to work (hasn't been too much of a priority though).
