I have a Sandisk ImageMate 8-in-1...all i have to do is act like i am mounting my thumb drive.
Put the media in the Reader Then plug the reader into the USB port mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/usb/ Works like a charm, haven't had any problems...yet.
