You may have to edit the following files (if they exist, and if your setup is similar to my RH9 setup):

folder: /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/

files: ifcfg-eth0, ifcfg-eth1, etc

add or change

ONBOOT=yes

in order to get it to activate on boot

(hope that helps and I didn't type anything incorrectly)
