I actually prefer visual bell since it means I don't hear the obnoxious PC speaker beep :)for irc (irssi) I like audible beeps, since its over on desktop 6, and I'm off working elsewhere most of the day (honest!) But instead of the wonderful pc speaker beep I use softbeep (http://www.stud.uni-hamburg.de/users/lennart/projects/softbeep/) so I can I can customize the sound and volume levels.
Just curious...what are people's preferences on visual vs audible bell?
