Hi, First of all, if it hasn't already gotten there, RH9 is within spitting distance of official end-of-life, which means no more updates from Red Hat. Skip it and install Fedora Core 2.
Now, to address your actual question.. When you run the installer, when you get to the boot loader configuration (I strongly suggest using grub), you'll need to add an entry for your XP installation (no, it won't find it automagically; at least, it didn't for me). You'll need to know the partition on which your XP boot image resides, and choose a label. Unfortunately I don't have direct access to my grub.conf for that machine from where I am sitting right now, or I'd give you more detail. It's not difficult to do at all, though. I'm pretty sure all you need is the partition and a label, and it'll show up in your boot menu. My question is(and I'm sure the answer is yes, but why not ask the experts first:), is RH smart enough to ask me to "dual boot", and not kill my XP installation?
