Yeah! I just priced some. But I'd have to figure out how much extra it would add overall to a project depending on how much I used.

My paranoia comes from a friend who had his own company back in the early 90s. He had a contract to run ethernet cat5 along with some single mode fiber. He figured it was good money so he big and won. Well, once the inspector arrived the day before the place opened he said "all these tie wraps have to go and be replaced with plenum". Ouch. He called me, along with everyone else he knew, to burn the midnight oil to replace them all but the shopping center had to open two days late because of it.
He got sued by everyone. His business was trashed. Anyway, that experience kind of soured me against using regular cat5 when even if I "knew" I could get by without it. I suppose it would depend on how many drops I would be running.

I need a class in terminating fiber optics. Multimode as well as single mode. Anyone know a local school that teaches such a class?
