I'm really not sure what the problem is that he's having with the Geforce card. I presently running a Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128MB card that came with my dell computer with dual 19" monitors 3D acceleration with no problem on Fedora Core 2.
Present Kernel: FC2 2.6.8-1.521smp Nvidia Driver: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.9-6106-pkg1.run All I did was install Fedora Core 2 and get a single monitor config of xwindows with the xorg driver (nothing special, the installer did that). Once that was up and running, downloaded Nvidia binary driver installer. Rebooted to run level 3. Ran the Nvidia installer, it said no precompiled drivers so instead it built it's own. The installer then installed the NVIDIA drivers, I edited the xorg.conf file to change from nv driver to nvidia driver, and typed in startx. Everything's worked great since then. Wish I could help more. -David On Wed, 2004-09-08 at 16:07, Brian Henning wrote: > I just realized that I will be in a similar situation soon..
