I wanted to follow-up on my previous questions.
First, thanks for all the respones. After a little googling and reading from the two websites and various newsgroup postings, I opted to try out CentOS. This decision was primarily based on the size of the community around it, which seems to be somewhat larger than Whitebox. Incidentally, if we had more money to spend, I would have simply installed RHEL and been done with it.
The initial installation went very smoothly - looking and acting just like the most recent RH I had installed (RH9). The first usage will be for our development server - serving for SCM, automated builds, unit testing and a Wiki. Sometime in the coming weeks, I'll be installing Tomcat, Subversion, Maven and a few other Java development tools.
If I discover any suprises, I'll be sure to post them here.
Thanks again, Chris
