Hate to be na�ve, but... Couldn't you just place the host you want to dedicate to the one connection outside the router and on the inside of the appropriate firewall?

Every linux article I have seen regarding source-routing involves having to set up another routing table, this means that for every new route atleast 2 tables need to be updated, the general routing table and the special table you create, both have to include the route.
