I reckon it is important because Mdk 10.1 asks for the location, can't find it, and pukes on video: Start -> X -> error -> fatal server error -> no screens found -> consult X.Org foundation at http://wiki.X.Org I *thought* the installation would at least yield a gui in a vm.
