I have this same problem, constantly. I have resorted to putting a cron job that runs every five minutes:
$ flushcache -lookupd And that seems to clear the DNS cache at a more frequent interval than whatever the OS X default is. This has helped perhaps 80%, with the DNS resolution problem still sneaking back in every now and then. Scott -- Scott T.
