Well, finally got this laptop back up again (I forget why I had to format in the first place, but it was a good reason! =]). Just one issue with acpi. Whenever I suspend (sleep state 3, "echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep), and then bring it back up, it resumes like normal, but then the mouse pointer disappears, the keyboard stops working, and it reboots. (havent tried it out of X, will do when im done working). (by the way sleep state 4 (suspend to hdd) works fine).
