not limited to any of:

 - ISA
 - EISA
 - MicroChannel
 - PCI
 - VESA-Local Bus

And no, I don't miss the '90s when you had to worry about the different
architectures...

Perhaps Shane ought to have used the more general term "expansion slots." 
ISA slots of the 80s had the same clever retention mechanism as today's PCI 
slots.
