Not to worry. If you are willing to spend a few more bucks you can get a VGA-to-Component transcoder like this
http://www.digitalconnection.com/products/video/9a60.asp

So you would use the DVI-to-VGA adapter that is included then the VGA-to-YPbPr).

Also for some ATI models (not the one in the Mini Mac) you can get a under $30 DVI-to-YPbPr adapter.

I know I have been thwarted, my HDTV was purchased before they were
sticking DVI jacks on them :-(, component video is the best I've got,
and Apple doesn't sell an adapter for that. Just the composite and
S-video adapter:

I've already told my Mac loving friends that looks like I'll be buying
my first Mac this year, be a nice compliment to all the linux boxes and
laptops around here :-).

Well, interesting you bring that up. I just crawled behind the HDTV
and I have only one DVI input which is already in use. Does anyone
know if a "DVI splitter" exists? Looking into what Elagto has to
offer. There as to be some way to split a DVI via some kind of
selector box. Must have high def output.... must not be defeated....

Won't it connect via DVI?

If not you'd be stuck using 800x600? NTSC video :(

Is it me or is that thing just not 100% cool? I am already eyeballing
a way to plug it into my HDTV... somehow... to replace my linux-based

monitor.. drool...
