Hi All,
So far, Kate is my favorite Linux-based editor for Java code (doesn't quite beat EditPlus, but it's close...). My big issue with it right now is it doesn't remember filters in the file browser window (and according to its options, it's supposed to). For example, I always have to type in "*.java" in the filter box every time I want to open another file (without having to sift through all the .class files...and no comments about having .class in a different directory than .java). Does anyone have experience getting Kate to remember filters? Or is there some file I can tinker with to make permanent filter settings?

Thanks!
~Brian
