Honestly, though, I wonder what John Walsh thinks about systems like this.

Well it gets even more interesting. Give the kids a school badge with an RFID
chip in it, then put a proximity reader by the front door of the bus, now
couple that with real time GPS.... Now we have big brother watching our kids
on the ride to and back from school. Parent will be able to check on the
location of their kids from home.
I am currently bidding on just such a system for a local school system :).
