FreeBSD running Apache seems simple to install and configure (and it seems, somehow, to use less system resources).

What happened to Tux, the kernel-based HTTP server? If it's been stripped from the 2.6 kernel I suppose you could back-rev to wherever Tux is and use that as the web server.

At least I think that would be possible (I have not admit, I only compiled a kernel to use Tux once, and that was more for sh*!$ and grins then anything else).
