Poor (but feisty) RTP start-up trying to locate a local person who can write a PC-based utility, to execute in the operating system of his/her choice. Bonus points for a self-contained, Knoppix-type x86 bootable CD, with the utility included!!
This utility would be used only internally, by two or three Company contractors; it is not for re-sale. The utility will be used to verify the control-sequence output of a dedicated microcontroller to a peripheral IC. The utility would read three 'lines' from the PCs parallel port consisting of a clock, a serial bitstream, and a chip select line. Utility to interpret the bitstream according to a predefined table (to be provided), and display the results in binary, hex, and plain-language. Some additional details: -- Data process methods to be the choice of the programmer -- Users are computer literate and will define needed display attributes -- Accuracy of displayed information is paramount -- Programmer will need to execute a contract agreement and non-disclosure -- Work to be done by contractor, at contractor's site Compensation for this task is negotiable based on responses, and to be a function of the experience of the person doing the work, how fast the program can be delivered, and usefulness/thoroughness of the implementation and execution. Negotiated fee to be fixed and payable 50% on contractor's acceptance of statement of work, and 50% on RadarFind acceptance of finished product. Timeframe is immediate, with expected completion by 4/1/05. If you're interested and can do the job, please contact me off line with a *brief* proposal, <jobs at radarfind dot com>. Legal stuff (sorry, even start-ups have lawyers): RTP area candidates only. Short-term contractor position; lawful eligibility to receive 1099 income a requirement. E-mail responses by principals only, please. Any agency responses will be considered a gift and ineligible for compensation. RadarFind reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time prior to initial acceptance.
