Thanks everyone... like duh... turns out Corel 12, yes 12 ! has a fully functional free trial... dunno how I missed that before... *shrugs* seems like WAY too many of us responding have version 6, 7 or 8 which won't open the file I have anyway. Heck, even I had v 8 like a few years ago or so. I can't even believe it's still a viable piece of software, but hey, that's just me, an Adobe product user for graphics and design who tries GIMP every now and again, usually with failure.
