Hey, sorry guys. There is no government EPA requirement to have the signatures put first. I've never seen here before. Perhaps there is now a Lockheed-Martin requirement, but there wasn't two years ago when they had this contract, and I (and Ken Mink) worked for them.
There may be requirements for signatures, but I think we all have seen that before And, in other EPA news, no Ken, they do have a firewall. That was 4 or 5 years ago. No telnet allowed in accept approved machines. No SMTP allowed in or out except approved machines - helps on viruses and spam. Separate DNS for internal and external that hides the machines IP addresses from the outside world. Other stuff, but you probably get the idea. Joe, if you want to make it easier to just type, put a couple of carriage returns at the top of your signature. Then, when you do a new message your cursor will be in the blank space. In a completely separate topic ... whenever I see a posting from Joe I have to do a doubletake, because his name and address joseph mack @ epa.gov vs. mine joseph mark supple @ epa.gov ... just bad pattern matching on my part. _______________________________________ Joseph Supple NNES - National Notes and Email Support CSC ITS-EPA Team Supporting the Environmental Protection Agency 79 TW Alexander Drive, Bldg 4201 Research Triangle Park, NC, 27709 Telephone: 919-767-7278 Fax: 919-767-7093 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote on 06/01/2005 12:00:10 PM: > ------------------------------ > > Message: 2 > Date: Tue, 31 May 2005 14:59:53 -0400 > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [TriLUG] Financial Tracking Software > To: Triangle Linux Users Group discussion list <[email protected]> > Message-ID: > <OF30787A58.0308508D-ON85257012.00652EFD-85257012.006845 [EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > > Joseph Mack PhD, High Performance Computing & Scientific Visualisation > LMIT, Supporting the EPA Research Triangle Park, NC 919-541-0007 Federal > Infrastructure Contact-Ravi Nair 919-541-5467 - [EMAIL PROTECTED], > Federal Visualization Contact - Joe Retzer, Ph.D. 919-541-4190 - > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > Joe, if you took this request in a negative light, > > I apologize.
