i'd like to take a moment to recognize someone that is a wonderful
contributor to trilug and the entire open source community. i've been
hanging around in the #trilug irc channel for a few years now, and this
person really stands out in my mind as being consistently friendly,
knowledgable, and helpful. i have personally witnessed this individual
help people (myself included) with all sorts of linux issues, from quick
fixes to long, drawn out troubleshooting sessions. and no matter how
long it takes or how complicated the situation he never gets impatient,
loses his cool, or says anything rude or disparaging to whomever he is
helping. he never asks for anything in return. and on top of all that,
he's incredibly knowledgable about linux yet displays none of the
"attitude" that linux gurus have a reputation for harboring. the man
has more patience and kindness in his little finger than i have in my
entire body.
