In the sense of "mob rules" I decided to give Ubuntu a try and I installed in on a Compaq desktop. The video card was not recognized so I was stuck with 640x480 only. Bummer. I reinstalled Knoppix on the HD later that save evening. I'll tinker around with it more, but I needed something more usable right away so I had to dump Ubuntu. Too bad, it had a nice look and feel to it.
