I use fetchmail to gather my mail from RR and Earthlink and deliver it to my mail server. Rejections happen back to the original sender/reply-to address, although they do go through RR's outbound servers since they're my smarthosts. I've been doing that for years, and it works like a charm. Fetchmail just delivers the mail directly into Postfix's incoming mail queue, just as if the mail were being delivered directly to my server from the sender's mail host.
