this has also been discussed (again, more than once), and we decided
aginst it because we did want the trilug mailing list to "splinter".
however, one of the features that we are hoping to implement in the
upcoming CMS is a forum where OT topics can be discussed. we just don't
have it ready yet. thanks for the suggestion!
