I'm running OpenSuSE Pro 9.3 on a Dell Latitude D800 laptop and having some problems. From my web searches it appears this laptop can be quirky with linux. Anyways, it is all I've got for now. I've been able to get most of the problems working when the laptop is undocked. However, when docked I get the KDE (v3.4.0-28) login screen. I login and it takes several minutes to present the desktop (has taken 10-15 minutes at times sometimes it has taken so long I've just rebooted.) I've installed the nVidia driver as was suggested in a google groups search) and that didn't change anything. Resolution is currently [EMAIL PROTECTED] card is nVidia GeForce go5650. When undocked it takes very little time to see the desktop. Another problem I'm having is with sound. I finally got the sound working while undocked, by running the alsaconf (another suggestion in a google groups search). However, when docked, I get no sound and running the alsaconf doesn't change anything. I've also checked the linux-on-laptops.com website and couldn't find anything that helped, unless I missed something. Anyone have any suggestions for fixing this? It would be nice to get this much fixed so I could work on fixing the other anomalies on this laptop. Thanks, Brian Blater
