likely. Is the drive out of warrantee?
run smartd on it (from smartmontools) to test. I have a cron
job run the short test once a day, the the long test once a
week and have it e-mail me the results. The tests can run
while the disk is mounted. This will give you a bit of a
warning if the disk is going.
