I am brand new to the area, helping to manage a financial and
software-engineering shop here in Chapel Hill. We are interviewing for
C++ developers with experience in both Linux and Windows development and
Paul Jones was kind enough to suggest TriLUG -- which I look forward to
being a part of.
We are building a very low-latency, fully electronic securities trading
system. I have several years of experience managing this sort of project
on RedHat; this new system is likely to be a Linux/Windows hybrid.
