Thanks for the reply. I was begininng to think that I was on my own on this one...
I used to use KDE a long time ago and I was almost sure that there was some theme or desktop switcher that would emulate different o/s desktops. Maybe I'm getting it confused with something else but I can't find it now. KDE's theme switcher doesn't have that many selections and I even looked at www.kde-look.org and didn't see exactly what I was looking for. Jason Tower installed an Ubuntu server at my office at it has been working so well that I thought that I'd install Ubuntu on a spare laptop that I have. That led to installing Kubuntu. (Which after a few wireless hiccups is working beyond perfectly.) And that led to me telling a co-worker "Sure, you can even make the desktop look like Windows, a Mac, really anything!
