I started computing keypunching FORTRAN decks for my Dad at NYU in 1958 at the tender age of five. Got to play around with a Control Data 160A minicomputer too. Later I used Teletype terminals to call the old GE CAC system and learned to use RUNOFF (predecessor to nroff) to format text documents for Dad too. My first personal computer was a VIC-20 and we expanded it like hell whenever we could. The Wolves Den BBS ran on VIC-20s, C=64s and C=128s for a long time. Now, of course, I have 6+ computers in a heterogenous network and play with all sorts of things in forced retirement (disability). It was fun being a 0th generation wiz kid. :-) -- G.Wolfe Woodbury `- -' RHCT U The Line Eater is a boojum! -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/
