While the Sqeezebox is indeed a cool device, it lacks audio inputs. :(

Squeezebox starts at about $250. granted... not the cheapest solution.

To answer your question, the box needs no real storage. It'll be a
streaming server of sorts. I'm thinking a WRT54G-ish box with audio
inputs would be perfect.
