Point well taken, but please note that my complaint was his implied "Ubuntu is the new kid and therefor inferior." I'm sure the Ubuntu devel team took a lot of cues from Mandrake's (and others') efforts. Again, Mandriva may be a good distro, but I think that the argument that it's great is better made some other way.
