hey, im trying to set up a redhat cluster with a shared storage device..
ive got all the GFS and friends set up and now im trying to run
[EMAIL PROTECTED] rpms]# /usr/sbin/pvcreate /dev/sdb
connect() failed on local socket: Connection refused
Locking type 2 initialisation failed.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] rpms]#
googling, someone suggested to start clvmd, so i tried
[EMAIL PROTECTED] rpms]# /etc/init.d/clvmd start
Starting clvmd: clvmd could not connect to cluster manager
Consult syslog for more information
[FAILED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] rpms]#
May 22 20:22:23 tf1 clvmd: clvmd startup failed
May 22 20:54:52 tf1 clvmd: Cannot login in to CCSD server
May 22 20:54:52 tf1 clvmd: clvmd could not connect to cluster manager
May 22 20:54:52 tf1 clvmd: Consult syslog for more information
May 22 20:54:52 tf1 clvmd: clvmd startup failed
and also,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] rpms]# /etc/init.d/ccsd start
Starting ccsd: [FAILED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] rpms]#
I cant find any other docs about the order of operations for this stuff.
and the http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/LVM-HOWTO/ doesnt give me a clue.
