I'm afraid I have no answer for your Dell 1390 card, but I believe the
d620 is "Centrino" capable, which means for not too much money or
effort you should be able to swap out the current mini-pci card for an
Intel 2200BG card, which has good support in linux these days.

A quick search on Ebay shows these cards selling for $35 or less,
including shipping. Intel has their own 2200GB website here:

Has anyone successfully gotten the wireless card to work on a Dell Latitude
D620 laptop? I would prefer to install it using Mandriva but am willing to
switch distros if necessary. My friend in another state and I have done all
that we know to do with ndiswrapper but cannot seem to get the card to
work. We are working with the Dell Wireless 1390 internal card. If you are
reading this over the wireless card on your D620 laptop please let me know
how you installed it...
