all,
yes, i'm really powering on one of my SPARC1's. and, yes, i'm really trying
to install the OS from QIC-150 tape. and, yes, i really have SunOS 4.0.3
QIC-150 media.
but it broke. the actual tape broke. i've got other QIC-150 good tapes but i
can't find a copy of the images that are on the OS tape(s).
any geezers out there got a copy of SunOS on QIC-150 media? or the images
from which the tapes were built?

If you still have the tape which has broken, and didn't destroy it with
the fiery hate of rage that could reasonably consume someone at such a
point, it may be possible to repair the tape itself. I am not with in
2,500 miles of said tape, nor do I posses the experience to repair it,
but my father does meet both of those previous requirements. If you
haven't found anyone with SunOS on QIC-150 tape, and still have the
original tape, shoot me an email off list and I'll see if I can put the
two of you together. I'll expect to hear from you soon. :)
