These guys claim to take monitors and recycle them (even non working): http://www.technologyrecycler.net/
The city of Raleigh has a list of places you might try: http://www.raleigh-nc.org/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_2_306_202_0_43/http%3B/pt03/DIG_Web_Content/category/Resident/Garbage_and_Recycling/Recycling/Cat-1CUST-2005210-121818-Local_Computer_Recycling.html There is a recycle/disposal center in North Raleigh off of Durant road that takes old/broken CRT monitors. If you are an individual then they will take a few for free. If you are a business then they charge a fee. I am not sure how much the fee is but I suspect it is cheaper than shipping for a heavy CRT. http://www.wakegov.com/locations/nowakelandfill.htm - Barry Gaskins On 7/12/06, Jason Faulkner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Over here at Broadwick we're trying to get rid of some broken/yuccy old CRT monitors. So, this is a call out for two things: 1) Boxes for the really, really broken monitors so we can ship them to Dell for recycling 2) If you want a monitor for occassional use, might be a little dark or blurry, drop me a line. We have more than enough to satisfy your appetite for crappy displays. -- Jason Faulkner http://oldos.org -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/
