blackdown-jdk, sun-jdk, ibm-jdk-bin, compaq-jdk, jrockit-jdk-bin are all ones available in gentoo. however for sun-jdk, you have to download it from sun's website, and put it in your /usr/portage/distfiles directory.
i currently use a mix of blackdown and sun. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Joseph Mack NA3T Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2006 12:58 PM To: Triangle Linux Users Group discussion list Subject: Re: [TriLUG] compiling java code with gij, running as binfmt code On Tue, 29 Aug 2006, Owen Berry wrote: > I've never used it before, but it looks like what you want to run is > "gij HelloWorld" after you've compiled your code. ah. thanks. that's it.
