Best place I've found is Planet CCRMA mailing list. http://ccrma-mail.stanford.edu/mailman/listinfo/planetccrma

There are lots of ways to configure ALSA to support JACK as to avoid overruns. Unfortunatly, the page on the JACK Wiki with these tweaks is not available. Anybody know where I can get this info? I'm sure I need to set up my .asoundrc appropriately. I'm using an M-Audio input device that works via USB with the snd-usb-audio driver. It shows up as hw:1 under ALSA. Even with capture-only, though, JACK chokes on overruns once I start a client, and recordings end up with lots of skips. Thanks, Tom Ed White
