thanks, didn't know about that. Will see what I can do with
that.
In the meantime I've got to
directory=${directory/_lots_of_stuff/}
echo "director $directory"
when I run this with bash -x I get
directory 'Flash\ Player'
(note single quotes)
cd $directory (where directory='Flash\ Player')
doesn't go
but using the mouse I see that
cd Flash\ Player
does work.
(time for a walk)
