On my machine (which updated to 1.6 without incident) I have the following in /etc/portage/package.keywords
dev-java/sun-jdk dev-java/java-config dev-java/java-config-wrapper I had it there originally to ensure I ran with the 1.5 JDK - however it has also picked up the 1.6 now, and it all seems to be working correctly. David. On 2/6/07, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

The jdk section in my package.keywords does not mention jdk 1.6 I assume that new packages are arriving with dependencies on jdk 1.6. I'd rather stick with 1.5, but right now I can't do security updates.
