Try Sawmill. Its not free, but its pretty awesome ...and you can use it to analyze just about anything.
If you "beta" test it for them ....they'll give you credits, which in turn gives you the software free. I ended up getting the Enterprise version free at the last company I worked at ...for helping them with a few things... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Byarlay, Wayne A. Can anybody recommend a program that can analyze, etc., Syslog information, sort of like awstats does for web/ftp? Also, one branch up the tree, can anybody recommend a resource for getting a list of the "most popular" or "preferred" tools for certain tasks? For instance: I want to know what the best / most widely used program for burning DVD's in Linux. I go to http://<where?> and browse by category, and see a list of packages, rated by people and with descriptions. Does such a site exist? If not, maybe I should build one. :) WAB -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/ -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/
