Like Kiran Pamnany said, Trinux really isn't suited for learning UNIX/LINUX. It's main purpose was to provide a easy, floppy loadable security toolkit. UMSDOS, which stands for Unix under MS-DOS is something you should look into. My parents objected to the idea of me 'format c:'ing the entire hard drive, so I found a UMSDOS based distribution and haven't had much trouble so far. Trinux may be good for you once you get going, especially TrinuxHD. Another good distribution is called DragonLinux. It's a lot easier to install those vs. getting another computer or blowing away your hard drive!
