1) It is possible to download files using wget (HTTP) or the ftp client in
the clients package
2) You are correct, there is no gcc package. I suppose it would be
possible to create one, but since most folks probably don't see trinux as
development platform and due to gcc's memory requirements are large. Your
best bet for developing applications that run on Trinux would be to use a
real glibc2.06 based linux such as RedHat 5.2.
