This is taken from a tutorial by Antonio Garcia,a Trinux developer.

IMPORTANT: Trinux HD I've installed is version 0.45 (see spet 3).
I think not all latest packages support Trinux HD

Well...
Installation on hard disk (TrinuxHD) from Windows 9x.

1) Create a sub directory named "trinux" in the root directory of the hard disk
where you are going to install Trinux.

2) Connect with ftp://ftp.trinux.org/pub/trinux/images/stable/0.45

3) Download and uncompress the file "trinux.zip" into the "\trinux"
subdirectory.

4) Check the uncompressed files (something like this):

C:\>dir trinux

3C59X O 21.780 14/02/99 14:31 Driver for 3Com network card left
here.

        20 files 2.684.029 bytes

5) Now boot Trinux to see what happens:

6) Reboot your computer in DOS mode. (Trinux won't boot in a DOS window.)
if you are booting normally your Window box, press F8 key during boot
to let Windows show the startup menu.
Pay attention. You have only a couple of seconds for F8 key being accepted.
7) When the startup menu appears press [SHIFT-F5].
8) CD \TRINUX
9) Run TRINUX.BAT. At this point kernel and all packages (*.TGZ) in the trinux
directory
will be loaded at a great speed :-)

Hope you enjoy, folks!

Mauro
