Hello people,There have been some updates on packages that should fix some outdated mirrors list on the netinstall debian-installer.
If you are lucky enough to own an compatible ARM64 or PPC64EL arch that can boot using the Trisquel netinstall then you might have seen that it was it was no showing available mirrors in it, or at least that's what's been reported.
This is due to an outdated Mirrors.masterlist file we've been using for quite sometime, I was tracking down a separate bug and I found the underlying problem.
There has been some changes, some packages updates have landed and now there should be options on such archs to see mirrors available when installing.
* https://gitlab.trisquel.org/trisquel/trisquel-packages/-/merge_requests/117 * https://gitlab.trisquel.org/trisquel/package-helpers/-/merge_requests/1577 * https://gitlab.trisquel.org/trisquel/package-helpers/-/merge_requests/1578For amd64 users, you should see an updated mirror list, deprecated mirrors should not be listed anymore, and some new ones are now shown, you can find the latest tarball at:
https://builds.trisquel.org/debian-installer-images/These new changes should improve the workflow design to follow and be sure updates reach the required packages so we get consistent changes both in the debian-installer as for ptyhon-apt, in all archs.
If you have the opportunity to test this out and confirm please, let me know.
