If you are interested in running Trisquel, I'd suggest replacing your intel card with a rtl8187, ath5k, or ath9k card; you could in theory do something like replace the Trisquel -libre linux with upstream's packages, but that would sort of defeat part of the purpose of running a free-as-in-freedom GNU/Linux distribution, and on a practical level break automatic updates.
