I have just made a fresh installation of Trisquel 3.5 (64 bits). I have also
installed the radeonhd driver since I understand -though not completely sure-
that this should be the best option for my card (Mobility Radeon HD 3400).
After installing radeonhd synaptic shows the following packages are
installed:
- xserver-xorg-video-ati
- xserver-xorg-video-radeon
- xserver-xorg-video-mach64
- xserver-xorg-video-r128
- xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd
The thing is that I was trying to check in xorg.conf that the driver used was
now radeonhd, but I cannot see it in /etc/X11 (there is only a
xorg.conf.vesa). In my other installation of Trisquel 3.5 (32 bits) updated
from 3.5-RC there is however a xorg.conf file. Should I also have xorg.conf
in this fresh installation or is it that this config file is not used any
longer?
